The cleaning solution is heated to a temperature that is sufficient to remove any contaminants and then circulated through the heat exchanger for a specified period of time. After the cleaning cycle is complete, the cleaning solution is drained from the heat exchanger and the heat exchanger is rinsed with water to remove any remaining cleaning solution.
